AED (Automated External Defibrillator) to be installed in Currarong.

An AED has been purchased with joint donations from Currarong Community Association and Currarong Arts and Crafts Society.

The device is to be installed outside Zac’s shop and is for public use 24/7. The area is monitored by CTV cameras which should stop vandalism. The installation will occur during July 2021.

The AED can be used following a suspected heart attack and while waiting for Ambulance assistance.

Although AEDs are at the Fire Station, Currarong Bowling Club and the Currarong Caravan Park, these are not always readily available.

Book Stall outside Hall over Easter.

We are  looking at having a book stall outside the hall on some of the days over Easter. Many people have excess books that others might appreciate so instead of throwing those out you can leave them (preferably in a box or bag) under the car port at the back of the hall. Or if this is a problem give us a call on 0412 353 605 and we’ll come and collect them.

Easter Art Show Banners Vandalised

It’s extremely disappointing that our Art Show banners at the start of Forest Road and the beginning of Currarong Road were vandalised. It’s hard to imagine why someone would do this but we urge all members and friends to come along and support the Art Show. We are doing this for the community and for the many artists who have been doing it tough over the last 12 months.

Message to members and to the Currarong Community

Whilst Currarong may have some advantages of being a small community we don’t believe anywhere is safe from this virus which can have a devastating effect, causing illness and unfortunately for some it is fatal.
